Texas Water Systems was established in 1981 by Tom Affeldt. In 2006, his son Chris Affeldt took over all of the business operations and administrative affairs. As a second-generation business, we provide personalized service and affordable prices to set us apart from other companies. In fact, we charge around 40% to 50% less for our services than other companies do on average.

Why We Focus on Water Testing & Water Purification Systems

We believe that everyone in the San Antonio, TX area deserves to have clean water in their homes and buildings. For more than 40 years, we have been working to make that a reality. With our water testing, we can accurately determine if a home’s or business’s water is safe to drink. Contaminants within clear water are nearly impossible to see. But these invisible or microscopic contaminants can still be harmful. Water testing will show us exactly what is in your water and allow us to make the modifications you require. We never want the health of our San Antonio, TX community to be negatively affected by hard or contaminated water, so we highly encourage all home and business owners to have their water tested.

Each year, we provide more and more homes access to safe drinking water with our water purification systems, water softener system repair, reverse osmosis systems, and hard water filtration services. If your water does not come from the purest source or flows through pipes coated with pollutants, it is essential to have a water purification system.

Why You Should Consult a Professional for Water Testing

As a homeowner, whether you have municipally supplied water or a private well, you owe it to yourself to get your water tested. Studies have found that about 50 percent of private water systems fail at least one drinking water standard and that might be a serious chemical in your water. The materials used to make pipes and other plumbing supplies can leach into the water, contaminating your water with health-destroying substances like lead and copper or just giving you hard water. Professional water testing can tell you exactly what’s in your water.

If water testing finds that your county’s water supply has harmful elements, it may be time to consider adding a filtration, water softener, or reverse osmosis system. Water softener systems can remove particles and elements that make your water hard. These systems can turn discolored water clear. They can remove soap scum or spots from your dishes, bathtubs, and sinks. They can also remove unpleasant odors (like a rotten egg smell) from your water.
